The CAS houses an aquarium, planetarium, natural history museum and 4-story rainforest all under one roof!!

    Muir Woods is a great idea for hiking, but also Point Reyes sounds good too. For us sports fans, the Sharks play the Flames and Canucks in January, and of course there's Major League Soccer... San Jose Earthquakes begin the new season in March 2009, but I'm not sure if Toronto FC plays the Quakes here http://sjearthquakes.mlsnet...

    Am quite interested in hiking. Prefer Point Reyes cause I haven't been there, but either works for me. January or so is preferable for me.

    Great ideas! Hiking sounds like fun! Did you know that if you hike into Muir Woods eventually you'll come upon a big log cabin that serves beer?? :) What do our other members think of these ideas??

    Thanks for organizing April! This was a fantastic field trip :) So far, the short list for our next meetup is: - hiking (possibly to Point Reyes National Seashore?) - Friday nights at de Young. Only one event remaining in 2008, Friday Nov 28th. http://www.famsf.org/deyoun... - San Jose Sharks game (this may be a bit tougher to organize...)     I'm sorry you didn't find us, Bobby. There were 8 of us standing just inside the door to the right (where I said we'd be) from 9:50am until 10:40am. Marcus was wearing a Canucks jersey and I had Canadian luggage tags hanging from my bag. At 10:30am two people from the group went and asked everyone in line if they were with our group...
